Ch-ch-ch-changes...

So, I deactivated my Facebook account last night.  As much as I do see the advantages of being able to interact with hundreds of people in the click of a button, I was just starting to get the nagging feeling that it was bringing me down and ultimately, wasting my time.

I don't know how long I'll stay away, but I'm also trying to detach myself from my smartphone and even the tv too.  It's time to read more books, do more crafts, roll around on the floor with the dogs and Theo, and spend better quality time with Dave.

I'm not sure how many friends and family followed me over here to this blog, but this is how I'll post pictures and update about what's going on in our lives for now.

ANYWAY.

Valentine's Day weekend was nothing over the top in our house.  We've never really celebrated it as a holiday, but Dave did get me a sweet card and some of my favorite candy =)

This was the first weekend in a long time that we didn't have plans and there was nothing to hunt!  So we spent the time just hanging out.

Abbey absolutely loves this kid!
Saturday night we had extreme wind and cold - our power went off and on several times throughout the night.  I was worried about Theo getting cold so he came and slept in the bed.  I don't know how people do that all the time!  He squirmed and kicked and played all night long!  None of us got a good night's rest.   Needless to say, we all napped like champs on Sunday!

Bundled up to take a trip to the grocery store!
Snuggling with daddy before bed Sunday night.

We also have decided that it's best for us right now to get rid of our chickens and ducks.  While they've been a lot of fun for nearly 2 years, its just gotten to be too much right now.  The chickens went to live with several other chickens and the ducks have become 4H pets to a 6 year old local girl.  We'll miss them, but we'll get more sometime in the future!

Take care, everyone!
